Obituary

Tracy E. Hoff, 67, of LaGrangeville, NY, passed away on December 2, 2019, after a long battle with illness. Tracy was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on November 12, 1952, to the late Frederick J. Hoff (Fritz) and his wife Mildred B. Hoff (Dottie) who survives her and is now102 years old! Following her graduation from Arlington High School, Tracy attended Skidmore College and Albany Law School where she got her Law Degree. Tracy was a tough cookie, so it was almost inevitable she found her career in Law. She became a partner in a law firm at a very young age and then went on to form her own firm. Tracy was an avid animal lover and showered this love on her pets. Gardening was one of her passions, as was the restoration of antique furniture which she had restored for her mother’s 100th birthday. Tracy is also survived by her brother Stephen Hoff (Lisa), their children Stephen, Jr., Claire, Charlotte and Alexander, all of Encinitas, CA, her brother Bruce D. Hoff and life partner Ellen Zimmerman of San Jose, CA, his son Demian (Nicole) and their children Cory and Jenna, all of Surprise, AZ. Tracy was loved by many friends and family who will truly miss her. A memorial is being planned for the spring/summer of 2020. Arrangements are under the direction of the William G. Miller & Son Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Anyone who wishes, can make a charitable donation to DCSPCA in Tracy's honor. I am so sorry to learn of Tracy's passing. We attended Arlington High School together, both attended Albany Law School at different times, and then we both practiced law in Poughkeepsie. I enjoyed reconnecting with Tracy during our careers and sharing our experiences. I send my deepest sympathies to Tracy's family.

I was sorry to hear about Tracy. We started our schooling together in Kindergarten and continued through to graduation from AHS. I was invited to her birthday party during our Kindergarten year. Apparently I dressed myself that day and ended up wearing two different socks, which my mom reminded me about for a very long time. My sympathies to Tracy's family, especially her mom. It is never easy when a child goes before a parent. Ruta Ronis

I am so very sorry to read of Tracy's passing. She was my attorney and was a big help to me and my child. I hope that she has found peace and that her family will also find closure and peace and that she will forever be remembered.

I just wish to express my sincere condolences to Tracy's family especially my good friend Doug an his wonderful mom. My condolences as well, to Stephen and all other members of their families. Tracy was always that beautiful and talented younger sister, as I saw her. She was truly a tough girl, that made her family proud of her and her successes in life. I know she will be missed and I wish to let you know that she is also in my heart, my prayers for Tracy and all of you, Love, Louis Aliotta
