Leon Patrick White passed away unexpectedly in the early morning of Wednesday, December 25, 2019, at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital of Westchester Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, New York, following a lifelong illness. He was 55 years old. Leo, as he was known to his family and close friends, was born on Friday, January 28,1964, to Leon E. and Beatrice G. (Brammer) White, at Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie. He is survived by his siblings: his two brothers, Michael E. (Theresa) and David J., his two sisters, Pamela J., and Carol L. He was Uncle Leo to Jennifer Walters (Brandon), Emily DeLucia (Brian), and Michael Jr.; Joshua (Maureen), and Dana; Carmine, Bryon, and Joseph Casucci (Daphne); Crystal and Cassidy White; as well as fifteen grandnieces and nephews. Leo graduated from Arlington High School in 1982. He went on to study nutrition at Dutchess Community College. The loves of Leo’s life were his family, Rock and Roll, the New York Yankees and the New York Giants, and collecting sports memorabilia (not necessarily in this order). Leo was often described by his medical teams, members of his family, and close friends as a compassionate, kind and gentle man who never wished to “step on anyone’s toes”. Leo will be missed beyond words by everyone who knew him, but he will suffer no more. Arrangements currently are being made by the family. Donations may be made to the Dutchess County SPCA, Hyde Park, NY, in Honor/in Memory of Leon P.White.
