On February 3, 2022, Joyce Butsko passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Gainesville, GA. Joyce was born in Poughkeepsie, NY and lived in the Poughkeepsie area for 87 years. She graduated from Poughkeepsie High School in 1951. On July 23, 1955, Joyce married Bill Butsko, her husband of 63 years. Joyce is survived by her son Mark Butsko of Newburgh, NY; her daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Tony Buzzelli of Gainesville, GA; her granddaughters, Lindsay Buzzelli of Austin, TX and Alison Buzzelli of Walnut Creek, CA; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Elsie Eisenhardt, her sister, Dorothy Lawson, her brother, Robert Eisenhardt, her nephew, Joey Lawson, her daughter-in-law, Kathy Butsko and her husband, William Butsko.
Joyce worked for over 40 years at The Bank of New York in Poughkeepsie. She was a longtime parishioner at Holy Trinity Church where she was a member of the Women’s Society. Joyce enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, bowling, sewing, and embroidery. Joyce loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 5PM-8PM at the Wm. G. Miller & Son F.H., Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 10AM at Holy Trinity Church, 775 Main St., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Burial will follow in the family plot at Calvary Cemetery Poughkeepsie, NY.
