Obituary for Jeanette L. Mulvaney
With great sadness we announce the passing of Jeanette L. Mulvaney (nee DiMattia) of Rosendale, NY on April 1st, 2023, at 85 years of age.
Jeanette was born into a loving blended family in the Bronx, NY on September 20th,1937, to Edward and Julia DiMattia. She enjoyed a wondrous childhood with her twelve siblings.
Jeanette was married to her beloved husband, Edward Mulvaney, who predeceased her. Together they raised their own wonderful family of seven sons. She was the devoted and cherished mother of Ed (spouse Sherry), Bob (spouse Terry), Ken (deceased), Steve, Kevin, Tom and Chris (spouse Jeanne).
She is survived by her three sisters, Madeline, Diana, and Margaret, and predeceased siblings Freddy, Gloria, Eleanor, Edna, Murry, Geri, Louise, Linda and Michelina.
Jeanette placed love of her close knit family above all else and was the proud grandmother to 18 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She lived her life with passion and joy and was loved and adored by family and friends alike, all of whom will miss her dearly.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 5, 2023, 10AM-12Noon at the Wm. G. Miller & Son FH, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Services will be at 12Noon in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Peter’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, and in her memory, the family respectfully requests donations to be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
