Anna Reinhard, 89, of Poughkeepsie NY, a wonderful sister and aunt left this world peacefully on Saturday, April 3,2021.
Anna was born January 19, 1932 to Leo and Caroline Reinhard. After graduating from Poughkeepsie High School, she went on to work at Schatz Federal Bearing for more than 30 years. In 1987, she retired from Duchess County Highway Department.
Anna had a deep and unwavering faith in God. She would spend many a day with her rosaries in her hands praying for her family.
As the middle of five children, Anna loved to reminisce about the wonderful memories she had growing up and the many good times she had with her sisters and brother.
While Anna did not have any of her own children, she was like a second mother to her many nieces and nephews. Her nieces Darlene Perkins and Sharlene Wheeler were fortunate to have Anna as a second mother. Anna enjoyed taking them to their dance lessons, school, swimming lessons or wherever they needed to go. She is also survived by nieces and nephews: Kenneth Rajczi, Jimmy Rajczi, Gary Rajczi, Donald Rajczi, David Rajczi, Scott Rajczi, Robert Beahan, Karen Doster, Joseph Beahan, Brian Beahan, Michael Beahan, Christopher Beahan, Debbie Reinhard, Sharon Reinhard, Keith Reinhard and Gary Reinhard.
In her younger years, Anna loved to babysit her nephew's Kenny, Jimmy and Gary. She loved to reminisce with all of them. Until recently, Anna never failed to send a birthday and Christmas card to each and every niece and nephew.
For many years, Anna enjoyed traveling to Massachusetts to visit her niece Darlene and her husband Jerry Perkins. Their children, were the source of endless joy and happiness to Anna: Megan Perkins-O'Baoill , Michael Perkins, Caleigh Perkins and most recently Megan's children: Rory and Luke.
Anna's strength, courage and faith enabled her to win her battle with breast cancer six years ago.
In addition to her parents, Anna was predeceased by: her aunt Clara Oberst, her brother Robert Reinhard, her sisters Dorothy (Rajczi), Catherine (Beahan) and Mildred (Reddy), niece Kathleen Wheeler, nephew Paul Rajczi and great-niece Amanda Rajczi.
Anna was a quiet, loving person whose unconditional love and unwavering faith is her legacy that she has given to each and everyone who knew and loved her, particularly each and every one of her nieces and nephews.
